The battle between Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, and Twitter has been going on for months.
Just to give a quick round up, or as quick as we can, Musk offered to purchase the social media platform for $44 billion which was agreed. He then decided to withdraw his offer as Twitter would not provide information surrounding the amount of bots on the site. Twitter filed a lawsuit against Musk… then Musk filed a lawsuit against Twitter.
Now, Musk is proposing to carry on with the original deal to purchase Twitter for $44 billion. According to sources close to the matter, Musk made the latest proposal to Twitter in a letter.
Bloomberg posted to their 8.7 million followers the letter that went from Musk’s legal team which reads:
“We write to inform you that the Musk parties intend to proceed to closing of the transaction contemplated by the April 25, 2022 Merger Agreement.”

So, it will be interesting to see if this wraps up the dramatic debacle or if it will continue. The matter was due to go to trial on 17 October but this will obviously not go ahead if they can agree to the original terms and move forward to finalising the deal.
