Primis Test

The F-100 Eluminator restomod truck Ford created to exhibit its new electric crate engines is based on a 1970s F-100 truck. The pickup does not produce any emissions, thanks to a pair of crate motors that send a combined 480 horsepower (358 kW / 487 PS) to the ground via all four wheels.

Consider it a Mustang Mach-E GT Performance in an older F-Series truck’s clothing. Now that Edmunds has obtained the keys (or keycard?) to the stealthy Avalanche Gray concept.

It may seem strange to go exclusively on an Edmunds test drive, but host Travis Langness allays our concerns by telling us about his own modified automobile history, which includes a beautiful turbocharged Acura Integra as well as a really slick-looking Studebaker.

The Mach-E’s seats and huge central touchscreen might look great in the press photos, however Langness explains that the wide seats mean your legs are pushed up against the steering wheel. This isn’t the best situation when you are handling 480 up and 634 lb-ft of torque.
