Tesla Model X Plaid Is Faster Than One Of America’s Most Iconic Supercars

It’s always pretty exciting when any car beats another ones record, however, seeing a SUV complete a quarter-mile faster than one of America’s most iconic supercars is quite unbelievable. Well, the Model X Plaid has shown just how fast it can go in a recent video released from CSP Sports, and we’ve got to say, it’s nice to see the Model X Plaid having its full potential shown rather than the Model S Plaid.

The video shows that the Model X Plaid performed better on this quarter-mile than what Tesla claims on the specifications. The company details that the vehicle can do 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds and a 9.9 second quarter-mile. CSP Sports performed their quarter-mile on a regular road and managed to do it in 9.83 seconds reaching 146.68 mph.

With the time of 9.83 seconds on regular roads, this makes amazingly makes the Model X Plaid faster than the 2022 Ford GT. Ford claim that the GT has a quarter-mile time of 10.8 seconds at 134 mph and costs roughly $500,000.

In the video below, watch the Model X Plaid’s real-world quarter-mile run:
