Tesla Model 3 Project: Updating the Carbon Fiber Mud Guards

Since I last wrote about my Tesla Model 3, a lot has changed. I’ve got it wrapped in Nardo grey which I love over the 20×9 Royal Gold Signature sv303s wheels, and I swapped out my Sport Coilovers for bags by Universal Air Suspension. The carbon body kit by CMST, which includes a spoiler, sideskirts, a lip, and diffusor, is still on the car. I’ll definitely be posting some reviews on all these parts very soon!

For now, I’ve swapped out first set of carbon mud guards I received last year. They looked great, but the problem was they were just bit small, where there was still a little bit of debris splashing onto the car, side skirts and rear diffuser.

They still cost a little more than some others you can get on the market, but these are real carbon fiber and these updated mud guards are slightly larger than the previous versions and also feature Kevlar backing and XPL protection for more durability.

The similarities to the old set are that they are really easy to fit using the OEM fasteners and some 3M tape, and because of their ‘handmade in the US’ construction, they’ll last as long as the Model 3 itself.

I was fortunate enough to be contacted by the guys at Carbon Guards and they’ve graciously offered a 10% discount if you use “TeslaReporter” at checkout.

They make guards for everything from Porsche to Volvo, and of course Tesla, so check out the website to see what they have available for your car.
