Tesla doesn’t shy away from high horsepower cars. In fact, CEO Elon Musk even states that Caifornian company doesn’t make a slow car. This is even more true now the new Model S Plaid+ has been revealed with a 0-60 time of less than 1.99 seconds and a top speed of 200mph thanks to a new triple motor powertrain.
Sitting at the bottom of the foodchain however, is the Model Y Performance. Its powertrain consists of two motors, giving it a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 155mph. This car was set up in a drag race against the base-model Porsch Taycan, a big competitor for Tesla. The base Taycan is RWD, with 402 horsepower under the right foot of its driver. And while it’s supposed to be a good match for the Y, the video shows opposite.
