Aspark Owl Electric Hypercar Shatters Track Records With Mind-Blowing Speed

The Aspark Owl, an extraordinary Japanese electric hypercar created by Manifattura Automobili Torino, has made headlines by setting two new track records. This new and rather remarkable EV has established itself as the leader in average course speed over the quarter and eighth mile at Elvington Airfield in Yorkshire. Despite its exceptional feats and the ability to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.7 seconds, the Owl falls short of claiming the crown for the absolute speed record on the quarter mile, currently held by the Rimac Nevera. Let’s delve into the world of this hypercar and the recently achieved records.

The electric hypercar has secured new records for average speeds over both the quarter and eighth mile. Over the quarter-mile distance (approximately 400 meters), the Owl achieved an average speed of 198.12 mph (318.85 km/h). In the eighth mile (approximately 1600 meters), the hypercar maintained an average speed of 192.03 mph (309.02 km/h).

These records were set at Elvington Airfield and officially confirmed by the UK Timing Association. Aspark Owl proudly holds the title of the world’s fastest accelerating car, boasting an impressive 2,013 horsepower generated by its four electric motors. This power output is nearly double that of a Formula 1 engine.

Impressively fast and incredibly exclusive, the Owl has demonstrated its capabilities by sprinting from 0 to 60 mph (equivalent to 0-96.6 km/h) in a mere 1.72 seconds during testing at Misano. This time is very close to the 0-100 km/h in 1.81 seconds achieved by the Rimac Nevera, its closest challenger. The top speed attained by this Japanese “rocket” reaches an impressive 249 miles per hour (401 km/h).

Limited to a production of only 50 units, the Aspark Owl comes with a price tag of close to three million euros, making it an exceptionally exclusive car.

The Aspark Owl electric hypercar continues to astound enthusiasts with its incredible speed and groundbreaking performance. With its remarkable achievements and unparalleled exclusivity, this hypercar stands as a symbol of what’s to come from the world of electric motoring.
