Elon Musk Reveals Tesla Cybertruck Production On Track For Summer

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has revealed that a limited number of Cybertruck’s will be going into production in the summer.

After much anticipation and delays, the Tesla Cybertruck is finally gearing up for production. The unique, all-electric pickup truck, which was first showcased in late 2019, has been the subject of much interest and debate, with many eagerly waiting for its release.

During Tesla’s recent earnings call, Musk confirmed that the Cybertruck will be entering production in limited units this summer. He acknowledged the slow start of production, and Tesla also stated in its Shareholder Deck that the Cybertruck remains on track to begin production later this year. However, Musk emphasised that volume production is more important, and the company has scheduled a ramp-up for 2024.

As Tesla’s portfolio of vehicles has grown and matured, with over 1.3 million vehicles delivered worldwide in 2022, the company is now able to focus on bringing the Cybertruck to production-ready status. The Chief Vehicle Designer of Tesla, Franz von Holzhausen, has also recently stated that the Cybertruck is ready from a design perspective.

Sightings of production equipment have been reported at Tesla’s factory in Texas, where the Giga Press will be used to form the body of the Cybertruck. This news is likely to be met with great excitement by those who have been eagerly awaiting the Cybertruck’s arrival, and it seems that the final stages of its development are well on the way. The Cybertruck is set to shake up the market with its unique design and all-electric powertrain, and it will be intriguing to see how it performs once it hits the road.
