Rivian Unveils Thrilling EV Playground in Brooklyn: Explore R1T and R1S Options

Discover Rivian's Brooklyn Store, Where Adventure Meets Electric Innovation

On September 22, 2023, the electric vehicle (EV) scene in Brooklyn received a jolt of excitement as Rivian unveiled its brand-new retail store, nestled just a stone’s throw away from Domino Park and the iconic Williamsburg Bridge. With the doors wide open, Rivian extends a warm invitation to all EV enthusiasts and adventure seekers to explore the cutting-edge R1T all-electric pickup truck and the R1S electric SUV right in the heart of Brooklyn.

“Think playground, not showroom. You’re welcome to jump in and on our vehicles,” Rivian proudly declares about its innovative storefront in the bustling borough.

This is no ordinary car dealership; it’s a haven for adventure seekers. Rivian’s Brooklyn store not only showcases their groundbreaking R1T and R1S models but also offers a selection of outdoor gear for those planning thrilling escapades. Operating hours are customer-friendly, with the store open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. And here’s the kicker – if you’re intrigued by the idea of owning an R1T or R1S electric vehicle, you can schedule a test drive before making your way to the store.

“Experience Specialists are on hand to answer any questions about Rivian vehicles and living with an EV, from how and where to plug in to planning an EV road trip. Families and children are encouraged to come by and jump in (and on) our vehicles, which are built to explore,” Rivian enthusiastically shared with Teslarati.

But that’s not all Rivian has up its sleeve. In April, the company made headlines by announcing that the R1T and R1S vehicles qualify for up to $3,750 in federal tax incentives under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). Rivian proudly asserts that these electric wonders meet the critical mineral sourcing requirements mandated by the IRA. However, it’s essential to note that these EV tax incentives are subject to income and price restrictions.
