Ford’s Inaugural Sponsorship at the 2023 Rebelle Rally Features All-Electric Mustang Mach-E Rally

Five Teams, One Electric Contender: Ford's Electric Rally Adventure Takes Center Stage

In a historic move, 2023 marks the first year that Ford steps into the limelight as an official sponsor of the renowned Rebelle Rally. As the legacy automaker boldly takes its stride, it’s entering the arena with not just one, but five formidable teams, including the trailblazing all-electric Mustang Mach-E Rally.

The Rebelle Rally, a trailblazing women’s off-road navigation rally raid, holds the distinction of being the inaugural event of its kind in the United States. This grueling competition serves as a testament to the prowess of vehicles and the exceptional navigational skills of participants, with a noteworthy twist – competitors are prohibited from relying on GPS or cell phones.

Ford has unveiled the impressive roster of teams that will be vying for glory at this year’s Rebelle Rally. Among them, Kaleigh Miller and Bailey Campbell are set to take the wheel of the formidable Mustang Mach-E Rally in the upcoming month. Kaleigh Miller has an impressive Rebelle Rally track record, having previously competed in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2020. Her remarkable achievements include clinching victory in the 4×4 class in 2016, 2017, and 2020.

Bailey Campbell, another accomplished driver, has also left her mark on the Rebelle Rally, having participated as a driver in the 2016 and 2017 editions. Her accolades extend beyond the rally, with a second-place finish in the Baja 1000 and a commendable fourth-place finish in Class 1 of the Mint 500. Notably, at just 19 years old, she became the first female driver to secure a top-five finish at the prestigious King of The Hammers.

Donna Dickson, the Chief Engineer of the Mustang Mach-E, expressed her excitement, saying, “Ford has entered vehicles in the Rebelle Rally for the last three years, and now is the right time for an electric effort. We’re excited to see Mustang Mach-E Rally take on 1,500 miles of the amazing dirt roads, trails, and two tracks of California and Nevada.”

The journey of Miller and Campbell with the Mustang Mach-E Rally is set to kick off from Mammoth Mountain on October 12, concluding their adventure at the Imperial Sand Dunes in Southern California by October 21. The Mustang Mach-E Rally is perfectly tailored for this rugged competition, boasting Ford’s RallySport Drive Mode, purposefully designed for off-road excursions. Ford conducted rigorous testing of the Mustang Mach-E Rally at the state-of-the-art rally course located at the company’s Michigan Proving Ground.

Ford’s President and CEO, Jim Farley, sums up this thrilling venture aptly, stating, “Mustang Mach-E Rally puts Ford’s decades of passion for rally championships around the world right in the hands of our customers. It takes Mustang where it hasn’t been before – to gravel and dirt roads. Inspired by true driving enthusiasts, a driving experience like never before for the pure joy of driving.”
