Tesla Accused Of More Racial Harassment In Latest Employee Lawsuit

Tesla finds itself under fire again after fifteen former and current employees filed a lawsuit on Thursday accusing Tesla of subjecting them to racial abuse and harassment from colleagues and managers, whilst working in the factories.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the lawsuit claims the staff members who have filed were subjected to racist harassment, slurs and graffiti by colleagues, managers and Human Resources. Some of them also claim that they lost out on progression within the company and were given physically demanding tasks over their colleagues.

The suit quotes:

“[Plaintiffs] have been subjected to offensive racist comments and offensive racist behavior and discipline by colleagues, leads, supervisors, managers, and/or Human Resources personnel on a daily basis,”

This is not the first lawsuit that Tesla has been hit with. A federal court ordered a new damages trial for a former employee, on Monday, after he turned down a $15 million damages award for the racial abuse he suffered whilst working at the Fremont, California, factory.

In another case, six women sued Tesla for alleged sexual harassment, also at the Fremont factory. They claimed this included inappropriate touching, sexual comments and catcalling by co-workers and supervisors.

Tesla is yet to comment on the newest allegations.
