Tesla Model Y Deliveries Come With Memes And Covid Kits
2020 has changed many things, but who would have thought it would change the way that cars were delivered? And if anyone was going to do it, let’s be honest, it was going to be Elon Musk.
The first deliveries of the Model Y for the Chinese market were delivered simultaneously across 10 cities. Not only were they all delivered at the same time and fully disinfected, but they came with an “epidemic prevention package” as well as balloons, fun giveaways and a framed copy of Elon Musk’s hedgehog meme.
Tesla’s official Weibo page listed some of the locations where the deliveries were taking place and posted highlights throughout the day. “Today’s first batch of Model Y was officially delivered in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuhan, Hefei, Wenzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou and Ningbo at the same time. This is the Tesla Speed!” Tesla China wrote.
With all the fun that came along with the deliveries, I think it is safe to say that Tesla have made the most of the current precautions.
Local motoring companies are sharing their reviews of the event online and all are coming in positively. 42How, the China-based automotive group, have reviewed the crossover for 24 hours and have applauded the Model Y for its performance, space and comfort.
Musk has previously stated that he expects the Model Y to be the best-selling Tesla yet and judging from the reception it has received so far, there seems a high chance this could be the case.
