Tesla News: Warn Your Grandparents, Elon Musk’s Twitter Hacked in Bitcoin Scam

In a string of Twitter hacks that happened earlier today, Elon Musk’s account was infiltrated and used to push a Bitcoin scam.

If you know any elderly or gullible people who follow him, reach out and give them a warning.

Despite the straightforward nature of the wording, the hacks must have been very sophisticated, since they were able to not only get the account of Tesla’s CEO, but also other high-profile tech figures.

Bill Gates was also victimized.

The hackers used the accounts to send out tweets related to Covid-19. They acted as if the billionaires were doing charity work, giving out double payments to anyone who sent them Bitcoin first.

It’s surely a stupid enough scheme to have worked. No doubt at lease one or two people sent crypto to “Elon Musk” and “Bill Gates” via the Bitcoin wallet codes put in the offending tweets.

Since Musk has been vocal about Bitcoin in the past, it’s likely that the scammers specifically targeted him because of his money, interests, and audience.

One thing they clearly disregarded was the attentive fans who would report this in a moment’s notice.

Now, all we have to do is launch an official complaint with Satoshi Nakamoto, demanding he return our Bitcoin to us immediately, or else we will give him a bad Yelp review.
