Long-Term Ford Mustang Mach-E Reviews Are Now Hitting The Internet

The Ford Mustang Mach-E has been on the road with customers behind their wheels for about eight months now. Finally, owners are coming out of the woodwork to talk us through the good and bad points of the car.

One owner of the car is YouTuber New Ride Reviews. He bought his Standard Range RWD Mach-E six months ago and has already driven almost 9,000 miles in the car, begging the question of whether this is one of the highest mileage Mach-Es on the road.

To buy the car, he traded in a 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid, but admitted that there was “no comparison” between the cars in regards to the build quality. A ceramic coating is a must, he states though, claiming that doing it will save you lots of money down the road. Inside the seats are holding up well with no creasing of the leather.

The Youtuber’s car is specced with the Premium trim, which includes a load of kit as standard over the base model, including Ford Co-Pilot360, which allows the car to drive semi-autonomously on previously mapped roads. He reveals that over the six months, there have been no fit issues, and no rattles have developed.

One complaint he did have was about the Phone as a Key application, which he admitted stopped working, along with the Bluetooth connectivity for Apple CarPlay. He admitted that Tesla definitely has a one up on Ford in this department, adding that the Ford’s infotainment and software was far inferior to Tesla’s.

Ford’s Mach-E averaged 3.3 miles per kWh under the foot of the Youtuber, but with passengers on a highway, this fell to 2.6–2.7 miles per kWh. It’s worth noting that he keeps his Mach-E in Engage mode, because Unbridled was too aggressive and Whisper too slow.

On coming to a stop and setting the car to park, he explains how the car rocks back and forth before  admitting that this isn’t a big deal.

Towards the end of the review, he tells us that his favourite parts of the car are the B & O sound system and power fold mirrors. It’s the little things, it turns out.

Many will choose the the Ford over a Tesla simply for the fact it’s not a Tesla. And to be honest, this review is even more of a reason to make that choice
